I think Dolores Umbridge from Rowling’s Harry Potter series. She was so insidious in that she wasn’t powerful, but she was cruel, and her strength came from influence and turning people against each other. Perhaps the reason she was so awful is that she was so real, so much like someone you might meet, that she had the ability to really get under my skin.
I also found it interesting to hear what Anthony Ryan, R. Scott Bakker, Michael R. Fletcher, Mark Lawrence, Daniel Polansky, James A. Moore, Teresa Frohock, and Luke Scull had to say on the subject. People can read all the answers at this link

I'm exited that we’ll get another Riyria book this year, and I already know what I'm getting my dad for Christmas. There’s one thing I haven't seen you mention about the issue, though: an audio book. Would it be possible to release the audio book in 2016 since the book is already out, or does it count as an individual competing work? If so, might it be produced after Rhist comes out? It’s just not Riyria without Tim.

But reaching my readers is hard. Why? Because traditional bookshops don’t support Independent Authors like me and don’t even stock titles on a trial basis. So what is your advice? How can an Independent Author with a good product in all kinds of genres become a bestselling Author and reach the target audience/reader? Many thanks in advance and warm regards, Lily

if i buy a hardback / paperback copy of a book, is there a reason i can not get a copy of the digital version? presumably most authors send digital copies to the publisher and so not much effort goes into 'kindleising' it. i would have bought the hardback of AOS (amazing and reviewed) if this was the case money was lost. so i am not sure why this doesnt happen, afaik the paperback costs more than the kindle
