Erik Larson:
Have you followed any of the continuing investigation into Crippen's guilt or innocence? A quick wikipedia search shows there was some controversial new DNA evidence that came out after Thunderstruck. What do you make of it?

Yes. I don't buy it. There's just too much evidence that indicates the body in the cellar was in fact Belle's. The DNA approach was novel. Interesting, though, and proof that history lives!

I'm a huge fan of your books & always enjoy not only your writing & the depth of research evident on the page, but the way you use structure itself (for example, the wild ride of bouncing back & forth between stories in THUNDERSTRUCK just waiting for them to converge in a sort of apex, like a wireless tower.) How do you approach structuring your books on a macro level?
