So since Sophie's locker uses her DNA, could she just lick her finger and press it into the DNA strip?

Shannon Messenger Well, it needs a decent amount of DNA to open (to prevent people from, like, grabbing your empty lushberry juice bottle out of the trash and using the DNA still on the mouthpiece to break into your locker), so she'd have to get her finger pretty darn slobbery in order to do that, which...is just as gross as licking the lock (maybe worse, since then you'd have a slobbery finger).

Plus, Sophie knows she's the only one who finds the locker licking weird, and since she wants to fit in, she wouldn't want to be so noticeably different from everyone else.

(She also doesn't mind it so much when it's a good flavor) :)
