Hi Michael, Just wanted to let you know I cannot wait for some new books, please hurry I am having withdrawal. I know you don't like giving things away but if you can say will their be any more Hadrian and Royce this year? I also loved Hollow world and would love a sequel any plans on that?

Hey Tabbycatz. Well I just finished a 5-book series. So you'll have those to look forward to, but yeah...they don't start hitting the shelves until 2016.
As to more Royce and Hadrian...funny you should mention that ;-) I just made an announcement about this on my blog. You can read about it here .
Yes, another Royce and Hadrian tale is coming - and yes the plan is to have it out by the end of the year. In fact I MUST get it released by the end of this year as Del Rey (who is publishing my First Empire series) doesn't want any Chronicle books bumping up against their titles. So...if I don't get it out by December 31st...I'll have to wait until summer 2019!!
But I do have some tricks up my sleeve. First, we are going to run a Kickstarter just as soon as we can. Just need me to get further into the book. By doing this, anyone who does their pre-ordering through the Kickstarter are "buying" their copy in 2015 and even if I miss Dec 31, they'll get their copies. Also, there are some "early bird" specials for the Kickstarter, so if you want to get notified when it launches (so you can be one of the lucky people to get in right away) there is a form where you can sign up. Here is a link to it.
Also, the audio rights are separate, so if I miss the deadline there will be an audio version available.
I'm pretty sure I can hit the deadline....but it will mean a lot of fast work for me, Robin, my beta readers, and the copy editors. It'll be tight but I've never missed a deadline yet so I'm optimistic.
As to a Hollow World sequel...yes I do plan on another Pax and Ellis story...and unlike the Riyria books I CAN release those in between the First Empire books. I don't have a date yet as I gotta concentrate on the third Riyria Chronicle. But once I know more, I'll certainly let people know.

Hi Michael :) As a mythology-buff, I wanted to ask a few questions about the gods of Elan. Were you inspired by any mythologies when you made the creation story and deities, did you simply develop it to fit the story or was it primarily based on the redemption theme the Riyria books have? And, if it’s not considered some sort of spoiler, did Erebus ever manage to collect all the feathers and be forgiven by Muriel?

Hi, Michael. I noticed while listening to Death of Dulgath and now while listening to Age of Myth that some of your scenery descriptions remind me of Ireland. Also, some of your place and character names are reminiscent of ancient Ireland (Nog, Meav). I recall that in Revelations you had a king named Ethlred. My question is, are you a British Isles history buff, and have you perhaps taken a trip over there?
