I have read your blurbs on the back of your books where you talk about your interests and passions and I have always wondered how similar / different your Patrick Bowers character is to your personality and interests in real life?

Steven James Ha! I once asked my wife which character in The Pawn I was the most like and she said the serial killer and not Patrick Bowers. Still says she was joking, but who knows... In any case, Patrick is a lot better rock climber than I am. Tessa has my sassy spirit, Patrick has my interest in uncovering the truth and so, if you take them together, you get a glimpse at what makes me tick.
