Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Pamela Cook This sounds completely corny but the idea for my current novel came to me in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. I'd been researching information about the drought in Queensland, in preparation for a visit I was making for an author talk, and in a half-sleep state, three characters 'came to me' with a basic storyline. I got up and scribbled it down, emailed the it to my publisher the next day and she loved it.
