whoufflestories asked Lauren Oliver:

My friend is trying to write a book but she says she can't write from a boys perspective cause she says she doesn't understand how boys think. Do you ever have a problem with that? Is there any advice you can give?

Lauren Oliver Well obviously there are always challenges in writing from the perspective of people with differing experiences than our own. If we only wrote from our own perspective though, I think books would get boring pretty quickly. I would suggest reading other books written by men, to get the male perspective. Or just hanging out with some boys!
