Wondering how/when we will know if we are going to be accepted as beta readers? Suspense is killing me!

Hey Tammie, I'm glad you are excited...I can answer completely, but will have to provide some "estimates" for the other ;-)
As to how...anyone who signs up for the beta via this form will get a notification when Robin makes her selections. Yes, even if you are not picked she'll send an email to the address you filled out in the form so everyone will hear something one way or the other.
As to when...well that's harder to pin-point, because she wants to keep the "beta open" for as long as possible so those just learning about it can get on the list. Also, she won't close it until she is "about ready" to send out the manuscripts, which means:
* I have to finish writing
* She has to read/provide alpha feedback
* I have to incorporate her changes
* She has to some copy editing once the content is finalized
Our anticipated time frames are:
* End of July to finish writing
* Two days for Robin to read/provide feeback
* Two weeks for me to incorporate changes
* Two - three weeks for her to copy edit.
Notification will probably happen during the two weeks that I'm incorporating changes - so early to mid July. Beta will probably be the first three weeks of August. Now of course all that could slip if (a) I don't finish in time (b) there are more changes from Robin than I expect, (c) there is a lot more copy editing than normal. But that's a rough guess estimate based on what we know now.
Thanks for asking!

Michael J. Sullivan:
With The First Empire series being basically written already, and some sold, is there a plan to release them in relatively quick succession or will they be spread out like normal sequels, one a year or so? I ask mainly because as much as I am looking forward to that series, it would be a shame to have to wait 3-5 years for more Royce & Hadrian.

Michael, I would like to know if you have thought about continuing on with Royce's Story? The Riyria story was concluded with what seemed to be a new beginning. A huge change for Royce in particular. Will we get a chance to see what happens next? I really would love more! Riyria=never boring or old whether Royce and Hadrian are separated or not. P.S.ALL your novels are Brilliant! More is always better! From, Adrian

I know you said you don't plan to write a sequel to the Riyria books, and I understand because the ending is PERFECT. There's just one thing I'm curious about. Royce says that he wants to make better connections between humans and elves, but what about the dwarves? I know Royce says many times that he doesn't like them, but it doesn't really seem like a happy ending if dwarves are still left landless and persecuted.
