Do you think you're ever going to write a novel not in the horror genre?
Jonathan Janz
Hey, Lynna! Great question. I’d put the probability of my writing a novel in another genre, at some point, at about 97%. Technically, I’ve already written one book in a different genre; BLOODSHOT: KINGDOM OF SHADOWS was a superhero/action/thriller hybrid with some horror trappings, and it was an absolute blast to write. Also, I try to bring in other genres with my horror novels when I can. DUST DEVILS was a vampire western. EXORCIST ROAD was a mystery/horror novel.
In the future, here are just a few of the projects I’m toying with writing…
--A historical drama/romance
--A sequel to my first superhero book
--A mystery/suspense novel called THE FRED ASTAIRE MURDERS
--A period adventure
--A post-apocalyptic series with western, horror, sci-fi, action, adventure, and fantasy elements (my DARK TOWER, so to speak)
--A modern-day romance
--A resurrection of my only trunk novel, a violent crime thriller called GARDEN OF SNAKES
So…that’s just a sampling of the work you might see from me in the next ten years. That’s of course, in addition to all the horror I’ll be writing. :-)

Hi- I asked my library to get me a copy of Marla, and they are unable to do so. They can't borrow it from another library, nor can they purchase it anywhere. I then tried, and found the same results. Can you please tell me why this book is unavailable? Thank you for any info, Christine

Hello there, a question popped up in my head and I had to ask: have you written any essays about the horror genre or really any arguments, meant for the public or that you are willing to share? Or have you thought about doing something like that? I understand you probably wrote a thousand essays in your life, but maybe not public - oriented?! If you know what I mean ☺ Thanks.
