I recently spent 6 months in Lyon, France and that is what inspired my latest historical fiction/paranormal novel (The Duchess de Nuit: A Vampire Tale of Lust and Blood). I was charmed by the history and beauty of the city, and decided it was the perfect birthplace for my female protagonist, Angelique.
