Usually it just comes to me. I think about the setting and the tone of the story. Do I need tough, cocky, sophisticated, sexy, or in Corrupt's case, innocent and darkly simplistic. Michael is a beautiful name, but very common. It's misleading, because Michael is a man way beyond a name. He doesn't need something brawny sounding to sell himself. ;)
Yeah, usually it just comes to me. For side characters, I might look on baby name sites and take the first one that hits me.

How can you make the story look so "alive"? I love the way we can see, hear and feel the same things as the characters. Once I tried to put into words a story that was running through my mind, but no matter how many times I tried, the whole thing felt flat, emotionless. Thank you
