Tuesday Pil asked Shannon Messenger:

Don't you ever just doubt yourself or your writing? Aren't you ever afraid that what you write isn't what people like? Because I find myself questioning my skills a lot and I wonder if other authors feel that way sometimes. (Even though there's literally no reason for you to doubt yourself because your skills are AMAAAAZING :D )

Shannon Messenger I think doubt is inescapable when you do something creative, because creative things are subjective. And the fact of the matter is, there WILL be some people who don't like what you create. It happens to all of us (yes, even to me). So the only thing you can really do is make sure that you love what you make, and surround yourself with people who will push you to do your best. If I know that I'm happy with the book, and that the people I trust (like my editor, agent, and crit partners) are happy with the book, then I've done all I can do, and there's no need to listen to those nagging little voices of doubt.
