I'm currently writing a fantasy novel, and it has traditional fantasy races, like elves, and dwarves. With The Novice, did you include these races in your world because of any interest in them? And would you recommend aspiring writers who are thinking of featuring those races in their stories to go ahead and include them too? - Ron

Taran Matharu Yes, I love fantasy races! I think aspiring writers should not be afraid to use them, but it is important that when they do, the races are not a carbon copy of other interpretations, e.g. Tolkein, Warhammer, Skyrim.
