Oh, you mean like having Tarlak rip open a portal, step out, and be like "where the heck is this crazy place?" as he enters the new world for Skyborn?
Because Tarlak would be the only one I'd be tempted to do that with. And honestly, I'm writing book two right now, and I've been tempted to end a chapter with Tarlak doing just that as a joke, to see how closely my editor is paying attention.

Hello! This is probably an odd question, but I was wondering how Haern's interlocking cloaks work. I have a couple ideas but I was wondering what you were specifically envisaging when you wrote it. How do they interlock, and do they look like one garment when he's still? On a completely different note your Shadowdance series is amazing and I really like it. I'm looking forward to reading the rest when I get time!

But I was wondering what series would shed some light on and lift me off of the cliff you left me hanging on at the end of Dance of Chaos (the epilogue)?
