What is your writing process? How much do you plot before you write? How do you keep track of all the scenes and sub plots.

It's not much of a process really! I get an idea, jot down maybe 8-10 dot points and go from there. I usually rewrite the beginning a number of times until I get the voice right. Then I try to write the first draft as quickly as possible. The first draft is really rough and then I go back and fill in all the gaps! I only ever have a vague idea of where the story is heading ... as I like my stories to surprise me!

Delusion is a tough subject for writers, especially those who are just starting out. Sometimes we feel as though our stuff isn't worthy and we have trouble giving ourselves permission to write. But with so much competition out there, can a healthy helping of delusion ever be useful? Is it ever a tool you employ to help you keep going? Can you share an example of how you might manage delusion in a useful way?
