I never knew about Outlander until I happened onto the TV show. I knew I could not wait for the next season and have just this week finished book 8. I want to thank you for such a great ending, and if I don't live until book 9 (I am 70) you have left me totally fulfilled. Thank you for such a marvelous reading experience. My question is will we have another truly lovable pet such as Rollo in book 9?

Diana Gabaldon I'm glad you've enjoyed the books so much--thank you! As to pets...I don't know. I don't plan the books ahead of time, so the animals (like the people) are pretty incidental; they just come along when they're needed.
