Hi Sherri, I hope you and your family are well. My question is about Darkness within it was supposed to be LOA third book. I have heard the story of why it's on the back burner somewhere. But I have also heard that a lot of elements from that book is in SONO. Was SONO based on that book?

Sherrilyn Kenyon Yes DW is on the back burner. Kaziel needs more time to brew. No elements from him or his book is in SONO. But SONO is an LOA book, as is Dragonbane and the upcoming Dragonmark. Some characters need more time to develop. I wish the creative process was like baking cookies. Toss in eggs, milk and flour, back at 350 and boom! Boom, book! Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Sometimes the house gets shaken and the cake batter comes out flat. I'm waiting for the cake to rise again and the ingredients to come together for Kaziel. In the meantime, other characters in the series are going forward.
