Trishla asked Colleen Houck:

How does it feel when your own hardwork has transformed into a New York Times Bestseller and when fan fiction is created and then special quotes are pulled out from your own book?

Colleen Houck Hmm. I don't really read fan fiction so I don't really have an emotional response to it. In theory, I love the idea of fan fiction. It's a great way for aspiring writers to practice telling stories without having to do all the world building that goes along with a series. As long as fan fiction remains what it is and no one's trying to sell it or pass of my quotes as their own then it doesn't bother me at all.
