For Inkheart I was inspired by the feeling all book eaters know: that characters in books sometimes feel more real than the people we know, because we are allowed to look into their thoughts and feelings. I always wanted to bring characters out of books. But how? I had the idea to use the human voice because I am a huge admirer of everyone who can read a story aloud in magical ways:)

Actually I have several questions to you. My first question is about Reckless. Have you inspired the Brothers Grimm fairytales while writing you story? What fairytales impressed you the most and had the most vivid reflection in Mirrorworld?
