Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

M.K. Gilroy My murders are set in Chicago but I recently did a family trip to New York City during the Christmas season. Central Park feels like such a great place for a murder - I just had to send Detective Kristen Conner there. Combine that with some reading I've done on the Russian Mafia in America and I found a lot of inspiration to set up a dangerous situation for my lead character - even when she returned to Chicago.
