Do you know how many words you have in your KoTLC books? They are so long, but since it's formatted for middle schoolers with a larger font size and spacings I was curious how long they really are in comparison to other books. I'm so excited for Neverseen and Book #5 I can hardly stand it!

Shannon Messenger The KEEPER books are definitely LONG for middle grade. I think book 1 is about 100,000 words. Book 2 is somewhere around 115,000. Book 3 about 125,000. And book 4 is 135,000. No idea on book 5 (but I'm secretly hoping it'll turn out a little shorter instead of going longer again). They read super fast, but yeah, there's a lot of story there (and a LOT of work for me as the writer--that's why they have to come out a year apart. it'd be impossible to finish them any faster)
