As a recommendation from my grandma, I recently read Sandcastle Girls and convinced all the other women in our family to read it too. We are all really interested in the Armenian Genocide (my mother's maiden name is Benneyan). Do you have any other recommendations for books to read on that topic? Thanks!

I'm sure I'm not alone in not grasping the horror of sex slavery before reading The Guest Room and your insight was well researched as well as eye-opening. The control of these young people is stunning as to steps taken to secure their continued obedience. Any chance of writing a follow up on Alexandra? It seems her tale may just be beginning!

Hi Chris, When writing historical fiction, what kind of balance do you use between fact and fiction? I found a wonderful story and am filling in the blanks between what is known and what is speculated, but don't want my work to turn into a "history book" -- which is a challenge for me, as I am a history teacher!
