What gave you the idea to have Sophie count the seconds as someone does something, usually to her? Is it something you do? I know, a silly question, but I'm honestly curious! ;)

Shannon Messenger Honestly, I'm not sure where the idea came from. So often, those kinds of details happen organically for a character. I write by asking myself, "what would Sophie do now? And now?" And sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by the answer. ;)
