Goodreads asked Maureen Driscoll:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Maureen Driscoll I've been writing professionally in different ways for most of my career, from answering mail for a Senator in Washington, to working as a press secretary to writing for a late night show in Hollywood. All of those had daily -- if not hourly -- deadlines. So I had to find a way to push through writer's block to get things done. It was either that or find a new job.

I apply that as much as possible in my novel writing. I try to write every day, even if it's crap. I feel better when I'm done and it helps me pick up the next day and do it again, even if I end up deleting everything I wrote the previous day.
