Betty Read
Betty Read asked Anna Faversham:

Thank you, Anna, for your kind words and friendship. I did write a lovely book, The Silver Flask. Would love for you to read and critique it. I am writing another that I'll call Golden Moments. Because I cannot afford the expense involved in tooting my horn and really don't want to, should I give up writing or just continue to write for the joy of it without any intent of going to the expense of publishing?

Anna Faversham I would certainly go on writing as you enjoy it - that's the most important thing.

I have edited and self-published my books so there has been very little expense, if any, in getting them to Amazon, so I do not know how much it costs you to get yours published. But if you can afford it, or can ask the family to club together and publish your next one for your birthday, then that is what I would do. Perhaps you could dedicate the book to all those who have contributed and it is something of you they will always have.
