i listen to your books via audio books. I am amazed at the quality of the people who narrate books. do you have a say in who reads your books?
Brian Freeman
Thanks, Cal! Yes, I get great reviews from listeners about Joe Barrett's narration of my thrillers. I've had readers driving around the block over and over as they get to the end, because they don't want to stop! I'm sure Joe will be voicing Stride again when my next book GOODBYE TO THE DEAD comes out in March.
You may also want to check out the audio edition of my latest book WEST 57, with narration by Meredith Mitchell. It's nothing like my thrillers...this one is funny and romantic, and it's MADE for listening!
Typically, the audio publisher chooses the narrator. Blackstone is based in Oregon near the Shakespeare festival in Ashland -- so they have a lot of great local actors to draw from in finding narrators.

No question, just thanks for a great story. A bit over a year ago I asked if you were going to start a series with Shelby Lake and you told me that the next in the series was going to be different. What an understatement! The Ursulina was excellent. Suspense and bittersweet tears. Thank you, you did very, very well. ? (I need a question mark in order to send this.)

Hi Brian
I love the Jonathan Stride series. I might visit Duluth next month (mostly because of your books). I remember Stride falling off a bridge in one of the books, but forget which one. The Aerial Lift Bridge is mentioned a lot, but I don't think it's the one he fell off. So here's my question(s): In which book does Stride fall off of a bridge? Which bridge is it? Is it a real bridge or fictional?
Thanks,
Kevin
