Did you have any inspiration for the characters? Are any of them based on real people?

Actually I work really hard NOT to base my characters on real people, partially because I want them to have their own unique personalities, and partially because, well, I'm good at being pretty evil to my characters and letting bad things happen to them. So if my friends knew I'd based the character off of them they'd probably get mad at me for all the awful things I let happen to them. :)

Hi! Thank you for writing such beautiful books! I know how much work it takes to produce something so amazing. Which brings me to my question: have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo? If so, do you have any tips? I gave NaNo a try last year and while I reached my word count goal, I wasn't proud of what I had written. This year I want to strive for something much better. Oh no!
