This might not be such a good question,but have you read The Book of Time series? I THINK it might help you in Rise of the Wolf,even tho the topic is TOTALLY different,it MIGHT help.Sorry if this didn't help,but I think it might.

I haven't read it, but I'm sure it's an amazing book. However, for my part, Rise of the Wolf has been completely finished for several months. I'm actually hard at work on the third book right now. But thank you for the recommendation!
