Hi, Cornelia! I was just reading InkSpell when this question popped up in my head. I'm actually puzzled about the wonderful quotes at the beginning of every chapter- do you personally choose them, or actually, I don't know, highlight some quotes while reading some other books or are they suggested to you? This is kind of a silly question but I just can't get it out of my mind. Thanks! :)

Cornelia Funke I chose them all myself:) And after three Ink-books I admit I cursed the idea to begin every chapter with a quote as it was not easy to always find the right one. But.....I love them too. So much that I also used quotes for my sequel of Dragonrider. And I just added fairy tale quotes to my first Reckless-Book:)

are you planning on writing another volume of the Inkworld trilogy? Not many books get up on the top of my favorites list along with Tolkien, Rowling, and Goldman, but they have put a spell on me... I finished the series for the first time months ago and I still have dreams of Dustfinger playing with fire. :) But I still have so many questions: what happens to Fraid?
