David Wong I'm not afraid to answer the tough questions. Seriously, though, if you liked it, tell somebody. Especially if you're hoping to see more books in the series -- leave a rating, an Amazon review, etc. We're all just waiting to see if people buy it, because such things matter in our cold, cynical world.

Thanks so much for answering! Okay, so maybe the events with Ted in particular are embellished, and maybe John saw the person behind the BATMANTIS??? gain control somehow instead? I feel so dumb trying to piece this together.

This isn't a question but I died and was revived in 2011 and spent a week in a coma afterwards. Upon reawakening a friend gave me John Dies At The End. I read it while recovering in the hospital, pondering what everything meant. That book really helped me get through a really weird, dark, confusing time in my life. It was as trippy as I wanted and and funny as I needed. I just wanted to say thanks for that book?

I have followed you through your whole literary journey (at least that I know of), since the 2007 paperback release of JDATE (love the acronym). I watched you evolve as an writer from having a rough "punk edge" to being more polished and skilled, to being more mature and polished but having that edge back, at least from my experience. How did you experience that Journey?
