How would you say you incorporate diversity (racial, sexual orientation, disability etc.) in your novels?

I have gay characters in a number of my books and try to work in their sexual orientation fluidly rather than as an "issue" that I'm tackling. And the disabilities and diversity some of my characters have are more psychological and emotional rather than physical.
