Lavonne
Lavonne asked Charlaine Harris:

As a transplant Memphian, I see quite a bit of the Southern influence in your books. Is it more natural for your stories to take place "closer to home"? And do you feel the actors that portray your characters sometime struggle with their Southern drawl?

Charlaine Harris I feel comfortable in a southern setting, though I've written books partially set in other parts of the country. I have to say that sometimes the southern accents of actors did make me wince, though I thought others did it really well. I noticed with the Aurora Teagarden Hallmark movies, the southern setting was simply discarded. Hallmark does most filming in Vancouver.
