After finishing the last Sookie book, I wonder what would life would be like for the next generation of humans in Bon Temps? Life for the immortals would go on but would we see vamps in a space age? Have you envisioned those characters far into the future? What would the next generation think of all Sookie's adventures?

No, I haven't thought far into the future for the community. But I expect it would continue pretty much as it has been. I think Sookie's descendants would be proud of their adventurous grandmother.

I just finished Nightshift and absolutely loved the book. You packed this series full of so many interesting characters. I'm hoping that we will see more than these three books. Anyway, what made you choose to write this book in the third person vs your more frequently used first person narrative? Did the large cast of characters just lend itself better to this form?
