IF you are asking about a how-to guide to get these qualities into a story, then you and I and many other writers can stand in a circle and scream, "what's the Effen secret!?!" Because I would also like to know.

Practically speaking, I find that having a good character and putting them in the driver's seat is never a bad place to start.
