Sophia Macs asked Katie McGarry:

Hi Katie, i loved the stories about Noah and Echo from pushing the limits and breaking the rules. I actually felt really close to Echo because of her passion for art and just her personally and just curious would you ever write another book of her and Noah in the future?

Katie McGarry Hi Sophia Macs,

I also feel very close to Echo. I love how strong she is while she has insecurities. I think we all have days where we feel like we can take on the world, but at the same time have some doubts.

I know everything that happens to Echo and Noah until now until their death. I would love to continue their story, but a couple of things hold me back. One issue is that their story would no longer be Young Adult. Their issues and problems will definitely belong to the realm of the fully adult world. Jumping genres for an author can be tough. Finding a publisher who will take a risk on me from one genre to the next isn't easy and readers won't always follow either.

Just because I have these concerns, doesn't mean I won't tackle their continuing story in the future. Right now, I'm focusing on the Thunder Road series. The first book of the series, Nowhere But Here, was released last May and the second book of the series, Walk the Edge, will be released in March 2016.

Thank you!

Katie
