I gather that there is a nod to Lady Peter Wimsey (Harriet Vane) in Ekaterine Vorvayne. But is there a reverse homage (as far as you know) when Harriet makes it a major project to herself create a garden in the footprint or outline of the burnt-out wing of Duke's Denver (in Jill Paton Walsh's "The Attenbury Emeralds")?

I haven't read The Attenbury Emeralds, so I have no idea. (You may be asking the wrong author.) The British have a general mania for gardens, though, so I don't see any necessary connection.

I just finished all of your Vorkosigan books and I loved them! For the majority of them I listened to the audio version during my commute to and from work. There were to items that seem to have changed pronunciation as the series progressed. Dendarii changed from den-der-ee, to d den-der-ee-eye. Galeni changed from guh-len-eye to guh-len-ee. Can you tell me which are the most appropriate? Thanks! Andy

Going through "The Curse of Chalion" again, (every time is a comfort & a pleasure) and the question occurred to me: On Cazaril's eventual death, which God will take him up? The Lady or the Bastard seem prime candidates, but I think the other Gods also have reason to lay claim. Is it wrong to picture a family squabble on the other side of reality? As you are Their voices in our world, I'd love to hear your thoughts

Hello! I am doing my first read through of the Vokosigan Saga, and in The Vor Game, there is the Laskowski base. In High School, I had a math teacher/mentor/friend, George Laskowski, who also wrote a sci-fi zone, Lan's Lantern. Is this base named for him? If so, that's quite an honor (and a well deserved one, in my opinion. He was a great person), from such a distinguished author as yourself!
