What's the hardest thing about writing a series and what is your tip for other authors who are currently trying to write a long series?

Writing a series can be a challenge. I recommend keeping a journal of characters, what they look like, any special ability or traits. Keep track of your own timeline. Know your own world and its details because readers who love your world pay attention to those things and you want them to always feel like they can trust the world you've built. Trust the rules, the history, etc.
The other thing I would recommend is that you find a way to limit backstory. Thread it through so you don't just dump it all up front.

Do I dare ask if your next Dark series novel will be set in the Carpathian Mountains, again? I know I'd love to visit Transylvania & the Carpathian Mountains, during Halloween, That would be a neat setting, as I've heard that them Carpathian Mountains seem to create their own weather.
