I wonder if you have ever dreamed about any of your characters? Have they or settings/places from your books ever "showed up" in a dream, in any context? Any examples of a character from the Vorkosigan saga interacting with a character from the 5 God series? Do you recall ever having a dream that helped you figure out a plot point or given you aid in your writing? Thank you so much for considering my question.

I think they may have shown up a few times, but very seldom. I don't remember my dreams well, except for a few I'd rather forget; most of them seem to be about travel traumas. Or home repair traumas. I have spent more time in insanely snarled airports in dreams than in my waking life.
Alas, my dreams have never been any help at all in figuring out my stories, except that if I don't get enough sleep (very common these days with chronic insomnia) I can't write. Or think. Or move, much.
Which makes me wonder, does anybody else have useful dreams about my characters?

Dear Lois, Thank you for all the excellent hours of reading over the years. I really have to force myself to slow down when you have a new release because it's always bittersweet to wait a year or more for a book and then finish it in a day. I'm really enjoying penric. I'd write more, but I have to get to my question. Do you have any recommendations for someone looking for a new author to read?

I saw a question below about a book about Miles' children - I second the notion. I'd love to read it. But have you considered "going back in time" and writing another book about a younger Miles? Such as his time as an Imperial Auditor? I love your books but Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen seemed so final.

Lowis, you are an amazing writer. I've been a fan of your Vorcosigan books for a few years now. And since I adore your writing, I thought I'd give the Sharing Knife a try. They are fabulous books! My question is, do you see yourself writing another Sharing Knife novel in future, or is that definitely it?
