Nichole asked Colin Atrophy Hagendorf:

Did you ever feel like quitting before you got to the last slice? What kept you going?

Colin Atrophy Hagendorf Hey sorry it took me two months to answer this, I just noticed this section of the goodreads site.

Honestly, nah. I wasn't uptight about keeping up a schedule and so when I started to feel burnt out I would just slow down and review less pizza. The task at hand was just eating pizza with my friends, which is something I would've been doing anyway! Also towards the end, when I would've maybe normally started to feel worn down or bored, the people in my life were so excited for me that it was hard not to feel excited for myself too!

There was one day I wanted to quit, like just for the day, because I was so hung over and dispirited and stuck in this shitty pizza hellzone in Midtown, but my good pal Nate Stark who is an angel on this earth was like, "you can quit if you want, but I'm gonna eat at the rest of these pizzerias myself if I have to," so I just soldiered on.
