Hi, Cornelia! I'm writing to you from Argentina. Just finished reading The Golden Yarn and i find it amazing, as usual. First of all, thank you so much for let me know so many wonderfull books and different worlds! My question is: do you think about your ilustrations as another way to show the readers how you imagine what you're writing? As another way to communicate the image you have in your mind? Thanks!

Cornelia Funke yes, exactly!:) I learned over the years that readers often imagine characters and places very differently - despite my descriptions. I still want them to do that, but I hope to show my way of seeing them better with my illustrations
