What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Kathleen Glasgow Don't give up. Keep writing. It can be hard. You might start the day hoping to write 4,000 words but only 400 happen and that's okay, too. Show your friends your work. Listen to them. Show your teachers. Take a class in writing and take inspiration from those around you who want to be writers, too. Form a writing group to share your work. Get your work in the world. And: read, read, read, read.

One of my number one reasons I picked up this book was because I could strongly relate to Charlie and her feelings, and she could understand how I felt and could relate to so many of her struggles and fears. You must have had many other types of struggles growing up and during our life in general, what made you want to express this chapter of life of which you, myself, and plenty others can relate to?
