Nadine asked Garon Whited:

Why oh master of cliffhangers do you torment us so? You know we will buy your next book without it yes? Love your work by the way wanted to say some choice expletives after I finished the second book but other than that yes love the series.

Garon Whited Actually, it's not really my intention to be all cliffhanger-y. The problem I encounter is the first-person narrative. The narrator (Eric) is telling a story, writing in his mental diary, all that. He needs a good reason to stop. Being hammered into unconsciousness, possessed, imprisoned, starved into a coma, or some similar major event basically pushes the Pause button and gives me an excuse to start a new book.
But I promise I'm working on the next book right now!
