Goodreads asked Luna David:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Luna David Write. That's all I can say, write. Sit your butt down and write. Don't let the noise of life keep you from it. Don't let your own excuses keep you from it. Don't get so wrapped up in the details of your outline or going to writing conferences, or the article about writing, or researching ideas, or this that and the other that you keep telling yourself are preparing you to write. I'm not saying don't do those things, I'm just saying don't use them as crutches to keep you from starting to actually write. Thinking about writing a book is much much different than actually doing it. Sitting down and writing is what's going to get you going, even if you have to rewrite the whole first 3 chapters, etc. Just. Write.
