Linwood Barclay:
Hi Linwood - I'm curious to know if you could adapt any of your books to film and/or TV, which book would you choose and why?
Linwood Barclay
Over the years several of my books have been optioned for film and TV. For various reasons, things did not move forward. The Accident, however, is currently being made into a six-part TV series in France, for French TV. The show is to air over there this fall. Fingers crossed they add subtitles and offer to Netflix some day. Trust Your Eyes, which was with Warner Bros., is now being looked at by the people who made Still Alice. I think, of all my books, it's the most cinematic. Also, in Canada, we are exploring the possibility of making Never Saw it Coming into a movie. I have written a screenplay. I guess we'll see!

I whole-heartedly enjoy the extra automotive-related descriptions & references in your novels. Always appreciate when automotive skills, abilities, & operating mechanics underpin stories such as with "Parting Shot." Finished reading "The Accident" & "Trust Your Eyes"; as the original owner & daily driver of beloved 2000 Dodge Neon MTX 5speed cable clutch, I must ask, what is the backstory there? Why THAT car?

Hi Linwood, I was lucky enough to win an advanced copy of Broken Promise. I absolutely loved it! The characters were great. I loved the idea of a trilogy with each book having its own plot which is resolved and then a plot continuing over all three books. How did you come up with that idea? I can't wait for book 2 and 3.
