Which of your books has been most successful? Which has been the most satisfying creatively?
David Wong
Successful: The first one, because it had a movie made about it and millions of people have seen it on Netflix, it's been selling steadily since 2008 but sales exploded when the movie came out in 2012. Most satisfying creatively, the last one (Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits) because that was the first time I sat down and created a whole fictional universe from scratch, in a whole new genre. John and Dave are characters from the early days of my website in 1999, and their conversations/bits are things that slowly developed over time, the book was part of an evolution of things me and Mack Leighty were doing with those characters. Where this last book was me having an idea in the middle of the night a few years ago, and then sitting down and saying, "I'm going to build a universe out of this, here I go." It was my first time doing anything like that.

Huge fan of Futuristic Violence, read the whole thing in a day and am now planning to read your other stuff. In chapter 10, a mysterious fifth suit named Logan Knight is mentioned and then isn't brought up again for the entirety of the novel. I really expected this to be some big shocking reveal towards the end; was this the plan at one point or was he always just a red herring? Might he appear in a sequel?
