Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Zangba Thomson Three Black Boys started as a hip-hop song that I recorded in Queens, NY. People who heard it used to ask, "What's the story behind the boys’ robbery attempt?" At that time, I didn’t know the answer because there were none. But that’s the wonderful thing about creativity, we as creators are never trapped because we have the power to add or take away from anything we create.

Long story short, I answered the 'cause of robbery' question when I adapted the three-minute-song into the short story "Three Black Boys: The Authorized Version", which later evolved into "Three Black Boys: Tomorrow After Supper" novel.
