Duke of Midnight is probably my favorite historical romance...Artemis and Maximus are both so interesting and their romance so intense. I think the tensions in their relationship are the most historically accurate or at least it reads that way. I have reread that book 4 times? Anyway - do the characters pick themselves to be the next book or do you you have it mapped out? Or both?

Mostly I have the books and characters mapped out, but they do sometimes rearrange themselves. For instance, when I first conceived of the Maiden Lane books, Maximus would've been the third book. There would've been no other Ghost. Then Mickey showed up in Wicked Intentions and I got sidetracked. ;-)

Ms Hoyt, I was just wondering what was going to happen ... after Maiden Lane? (forever known as AML) Aside from the fact that I will be an emotional wreck and that a significant chapter in my life will come to a close, is there anything planed for after AML (it genuinely makes me very upset thinking about this)? PS how old is Hugh? Also THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A GREAT AUTHOR, YOU HAVE BEEN A HUGE PART OF MY LIFE!
