Thank you so much for reading STS. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
During my research, I read documents that stated that numerous bodies washed up on shore for several weeks. The thought was so tragic and haunting to me that I incorporated the idea into the novel. Unfortunately, I don't have an exact figure of those that washed ashore. My heart breaks for the families who never had closure.
