Hiya, so as I was rerererereading the Sky Fall series in order to get ready for Let the Wind Rise, I wondered how you came up with the specific wind commands, like how to call an Easterly or Northerly or Westerly or Southerly? And then I wondered how you even came across the idea of basically personificating the wind? Or pretty much what was your inspiration for this series? Lol

I've always been fascinated by wind. I think it's because I grew up in the cities where the books take place and the wind is so crazy there, it feels like it's alive. I always used to imagine there were things controlling the wind and making it be so sporadic, and over time, that grew into the mythology of the series.
