A.R. Hellbender
A.R. Hellbender asked Caitlin E. Jones:

What was your inspiration for Chimehour?

Caitlin E. Jones "Chimehour" actually came from several sources at once. Its recipe calls for:

-Irish folklore, which I grew up with and always had an interest in.

-Victorian/Edwardian literature, particularly writers like Wilde, Doyle, and Yeats.

-Zombies, of the modern sort. "Night of The Living Dead", "Zombieland", and comics like "The Walking Dead" and "Highschool of The Dead" were huge influences on my more folklore-based Revenant (who do pop up in real Irish folklore).

-Crows.

-Various music from Loreena McKinnet, Florence + The Machine, Emilie Autumn, The Chieftains, Panic! At The Disco, and Katzenjammer. Also a whole album by Lindsay Stirling.

-A desire for more male protagonists in YA.

-A love of steampunk/neo-Victorian everything.

-Yet more crows.

Place in blender and set to purée until ready. Serve over historical context and a top with a sprinkling of classic Victorian poetry.
